Heart of the

People

Travel forever changes us. The stories we hear, the sites we visit and the people all play a role in our own evolution.

As I ventured to Vietnam and Cambodia I had no expectations, no agendas to find. And this has been how I have learned to explore. For it opens me, us, to the unimaginable and deep magic.

These lands rocked me and yet held me close.

Our heart strings can be pulled when we walk a path of history, often not even being able to fathom what another has experienced. And so we look to the present. How has deep turmoil been moved beyond or anchored? How are countries with deep pain navigating life forward?

What was so clear to me was the heart. Each soul I encountered had love in their hearts and joy in their eyes. So gracious, giving, connecting.

It is not that the past is forgotten but there is a courage and strength of forgiveness that shines through their hearts.

And so I offer you this image of one of the many beautiful, amazing souls that teach us how to forgive with compassion and live in love not allowing victimization to weigh them down.

And so it is,

Aho
